Park 19 maggio 2012 (Parco Cillarese)

The park has been launched on 1st June 2013 and it is one of the largest Apulian urban park, because of its 43 hectares. In 2014, after the tragic attack to the Morvillo-Falcone institute, where the student Melissa Bassi lost her life, the park has changed its name in “Parco 19 maggio 2012”.

It is an ideal place for a walk or bike ride surrounded by the sounds and of nature. The lakes, crossed by wooden bridges, host turtles, frogs and colorful dragonflies while the canal, the last part of the watercourse that flows into the inner harbor, has become a habitat for many species of waterfowl that spend the winter here or stop during their long migrations.

Antonio Di Giulio Park
The park has been launched on July 30th 2011 and it is named after the doctor and environmentalist Dr. Antonio Di Giulio. The exstension of the park is ​​about 8 hectares, including terraces with dry-stone walls close to the the pedestrian paths.

We can find the central square with cypresses and fragrant shrubs, areas covered with the Mediterranean flora and the countryside of Brindisi such as the vineyard, the olive grove and the orchard. Thanks to its large green areas it is the perfect place for picnicing and sporting activities.

There is also a bar, a game-area for children and a dog park whose entrance is via Dalmazia.
